Czech radar manufacturer Eldis Pardubice, a member of the Czechoslovak Group (CSG), has achieved a significant success in Southeast Asia’s rapidly growing aviation market. At the end of February, the company signed a contract with VATM (Vietnam Air Traffic Management) for the delivery and installation of five radar systems at key locations throughout Vietnam.

“The aviation industry in Vietnam is experiencing rapid growth, which brings both opportunities and challenges. VATM is committed to investing in top-tier infrastructure and cutting-edge technologies. The delivery and installation of five radar systems play a crucial role in this strategy and will significantly strengthen the oversight of Vietnamese airspace. These radar systems will enhance flight efficiency, ensure safety, and contribute to the modernization of Vietnam’s aviation,” said VATM Director General Nguyen Cong Long at the contract signing ceremony.

Representing the Czech side at the signing in Vietnam was Martin Dufek, Deputy Commercial Director of Eldis Pardubice. The contract follows on from the company’s prior cooperation with the Vietnamese Ministry of Defense, for whom Eldis modernized three RSP-10 radar systems between 2018 and 2020.

“This newly signed contract is our very first deal with VATM. We believe it marks the beginning of a long-term and sustainable partnership,” says Filip Vogel, Commercial Director of Eldis Pardubice. According to him, the Vietnamese aviation market is highly promising, offering considerable opportunities for further collaboration.

In addition to supplying the five radar systems, the contract includes comprehensive operator training and on-site testing with end-users. This demonstrates Eldis Pardubice’s capability to provide full support and service around the globe, complementing its top-tier development and manufacturing.

Eldis Pardubice is proud of its modern range of radar products, all in full compliance with current EUROCONTROL and ICAO regulations. With its growing volume of orders, the company is in the process of constructing a new production hall and expanding its workforce.
