CASA aircraft will get new devices and avionics for 200 million crowns

Date 11.12.2018

CASA military aircraft in the service of the Czech army will get new communication devices and avionics. New equipment will receive all four machines used by Czech soldiers. The order of total of 206 million crowns without VAT will be announced on Wednesday by the Minister of Defense Lubomir Metnar (ANO party), said Jakub Fajnor from the press department of the Ministry of Defense today.

Modernization of air navigation equipment requires a European Union Single European Sky project. The Airbus Defense and Space Aircraft, which manufactures the CASA C-295M aircraft, will be commissioned to replace the devices. The need for new equipment is by May 2020, when the new regulations begin to apply, said Mr. Fajnor.
