Preparations for this year’s NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days are entering its final phase, and we can say without exaggeration that the 20th anniversary will be truly special. According to the motto “for spectators, without visitors”, the event will offer both traditional and new displays of military and security forces equipment and its operators, and you can watch it all from the comfort of your homes!
In recent weeks, we have intentionally ceased our communication so that we can bring you as complete information as possible. We have made even more effort to ensure that this year’s NATO Days can take place in a distance form. We have also made extensive preparations so that we can offer everyone the best experience.
“Unfortunately, the development of the epidemiological situation in the Czech Republic and the Moravian-Silesian Region has shown that it is not possible to plan this event for the visitors. We are sorry, we tried to do our best. However, safety has always been and will be a priority for us,” says Zbyněk Pavlačík, Chairman of Jagello 2000 and the main manager of NATO Days in Ostrava. “To hold NATO Days in Ostrava in this way was our most difficult decision in the entire 20 years of the event. One of the strongest arguments was the fact that around 300,000 people watch the event live on Czech Television every year and thousands more through other platforms. Thus, this year’s NATO Days will be held in a similar format to current sport events.”
“Starting with the press conference, which will take place this Friday, August 21, we will start publishing more details about both the program and the planned methods of live streaming,” adds Pavlačík. “The good news is that even stricter measures will not jeopardize the event as we plan it. Together with our partners, we aim to provide the best possible experience for all our fans. We are currently negotiating the use of technology, which has never been used in this way at any public event. ”
All traditional Czech participants have already confirmed its participation and displays at the event. The Czech Army, police service, customs service and others are currently preparing attractive ground dynamic demonstrations for the spectators. In addition to the Czech Air Force, foreign air forces will also participate in the flight program. None of the demonstrations will be pre-recorded, everything will take place live. The program, which is already full, will include several attractive premieres, for which recording in advance would not be possible, so this year it will definitely be worth watching the largest security event in Europe!
