Germany has reinforced its commitment to cutting-edge military readiness by awarding a 10-year contract valued at up to €420 million to Top Aces Inc., the world’s leading provider of advanced adversary air combat training. The agreement extends a proven partnership with the Bundeswehr through 2035 and supports mission-critical training across the German Air Force, Army, and Navy.
At the core of the contract is Schnelle Flugzieldarstellung—high-end live flying training designed to replicate modern airborne threats with speed, realism, and precision. In an era defined by rapidly evolving air combat environments, the Bundeswehr has once again turned to a trusted partner capable of delivering operationally relevant training at scale.
A Partnership Built on Trust and Performance
“This contract represents a major milestone in our long-standing relationship with the Bundeswehr,” said Thomas Beringer, Vice President Europe at Top Aces. “We are honored to continue supporting Germany’s operational readiness—an essential requirement in today’s complex global security environment—through world-class training solutions tailored to the evolving needs of modern armed forces.”
The new agreement builds on more than a decade of close cooperation and reflects confidence not only in Top Aces’ technical capabilities, but also in its safety record, reliability, and ability to deliver realistic threat replication.
Advanced Aircraft, Realistic Threats
Under the contract, Top Aces will deploy a comprehensive portfolio of training capabilities aimed at enhancing the operational effectiveness of all branches of the Bundeswehr. Training sorties will be flown using the company’s versatile fleet, including:
-
A-4N Skyhawk aircraft equipped with AESA radar,
-
Modernized Alpha Jets, upgraded with contemporary avionics and mission systems.
Central to the offering is Top Aces’ proprietary Advanced Aggressor Mission System (AAMS). This in-house developed system integrates advanced sensors and mission electronics into the A-4N platform, enabling the realistic simulation of threats posed by the latest generations of adversary fighter aircraft. The result is a training environment that challenges aircrews and ground forces alike—without consuming frontline military aircraft hours.
Strategic Value for NATO and Allies
Didier Toussaint, Group President and Co-Founder of Top Aces, emphasized the broader significance of the award:
“We are deeply grateful for the continued trust the Bundeswehr places in us. This contract highlights the strength of our partnership and the consistent value delivered by our people. Even as we grow internationally, our focus remains clear: providing dependable, innovative training solutions that measurably enhance readiness and operational effectiveness.”
The contract further cements Top Aces’ leadership position in the global defense and aerospace sector. As the world’s safest commercial provider of advanced operational training, the company continues to set industry benchmarks—delivering cost-effective, high-end solutions that strengthen NATO and allied force readiness while preserving military fleet life.
With over 150,000 accident-free flight hours and the largest, most modern commercially operated fighter fleet in active service, Top Aces remains uniquely positioned to meet the demands of contemporary and future air combat training.
