Revolutionizing Mexican Aviation with Innovation and Efficiency

In a groundbreaking move that promises to reshape the skies over Mexico, Mexicana de Aviación has announced a substantial order of 20 Embraer E2 aircraft. This landmark deal, finalized on June 3, 2024, includes 10 E190-E2 and 10 E195-E2 jets, with deliveries slated to commence in the second quarter of 2025.

A Leap Forward for Mexicana

As Mexico’s state-owned carrier, Mexicana de Aviación is not just expanding its fleet; it is setting a new standard for the industry. The E190-E2 will be configured with 108 seats, while the E195-E2 will feature 132 seats, both arranged in a single-class layout. This decision underscores Mexicana’s dedication to offering superior comfort and affordability without compromising on quality or service.

Sustainability and Efficiency at the Forefront

This acquisition marks Mexicana as the first operator of the E2 series in Mexico, a significant milestone that aligns with the airline’s and Embraer’s shared vision of sustainability. The E2 aircraft are renowned for their low operating costs and exceptional fuel efficiency, positioning Mexicana as a leader in eco-friendly aviation. This strategic fleet enhancement not only bolsters Mexicana’s operational capacity but also its commitment to reducing environmental impact.

Strengthening Connectivity and Service

By integrating the E2 aircraft into its operations, Mexicana is poised to enhance both domestic and international connectivity. This fleet modernization will enable the airline to offer more routes, greater flight frequency, and improved service reliability. Passengers can look forward to a travel experience that combines convenience with the highest safety standards.

Leadership’s Vision

Priscilla Doro Solymossy, Embraer’s VP of Sales and Marketing for Latin America and the Caribbean, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “We welcome Mexicana to the E2 family as the first operator in Mexico. The airline’s rapid growth since resuming operations in December 2023 is a testament to its dedication to operational excellence and customer service.”

A Record of Excellence

Mexicana’s impressive track record speaks volumes. Since its relaunch, the airline has expanded to 18 destinations, transporting over 115,000 passengers and logging more than 3,280 flight hours. This dynamic growth trajectory highlights Mexicana’s unwavering commitment to providing top-notch service and achieving operational brilliance.

With this visionary order, Mexicana de Aviación is not just flying high; it is setting new benchmarks for the future of aviation in Mexico and beyond. The introduction of Embraer’s E2 aircraft heralds a new era of efficient, sustainable, and customer-focused air travel. Keep your eyes on the skies – Mexicana de Aviación is soaring to new heights.
