C-390 NEW CONTRACT

Expanding global interest in the next-generation multi-mission aircraft

Embraer has signed a contract for the sale of two C-390 Millennium multi-mission aircraft with an undisclosed customer. This deal includes a comprehensive training and support package, as well as the supply of spare parts, marking another milestone for the aircraft’s growing international success.

The aircraft will be custom-configured to meet the buyer’s specific requirements, encompassing tactical transport of troops and vehicles, humanitarian aid missions, disaster management, and medical evacuation.

Bosco da Costa Jr., President and CEO of Embraer Defense & Security, expressed his enthusiasm:
“We are honored by this new customer’s choice of the C-390 Millennium. This aircraft is redefining military transport aviation with its state-of-the-art technology, exceptional reliability, and low operational costs, combined with unparalleled performance.”

A Growing Global Fleet

This agreement brings the total number of countries selecting the C-390 Millennium to ten, joining Brazil, Portugal, Hungary, South Korea, the Netherlands, Austria, the Czech Republic, Sweden, and Slovakia. Since its operational debut with the Brazilian Air Force in 2019, the C-390 has consistently demonstrated its capacity and reliability, achieving a remarkable mission capability rate of 93% and mission completion rates exceeding 99%.

The C-390 Millennium is redefining its category with a payload capacity of 26 tons, speeds of 470 knots, and the ability to operate on temporary or unpaved runways. Its versatility covers a wide spectrum of missions, including cargo transport, troop deployment, search and rescue, firefighting, and humanitarian operations. Additionally, the KC-390 variant, equipped with air-to-air refueling capabilities, has proven itself both as a tanker and a receiver.

With more than 15,500 flight hours logged across the global fleet, the C-390 Millennium continues to establish itself as a leader in next-generation military transport, meeting the demands of modern defense and humanitarian operations.

This latest contract underscores the increasing recognition of the C-390’s unmatched capabilities and the growing demand for its innovative design.
