This May, the Brno Exhibition Centre will host IDET 2025, the International Defence and Security Technology Fair, accompanied by the PYROS and ISET trade fairs, focused on fire and safety technology. The event promises a record-breaking turnout with over 650 companies from 34 countries and several world premieres, underscoring its growing importance in the global defence industry.
A New Era for the Czech Armed Forces
The Czech Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces will showcase their largest modernization effort in recent history, including TITUS vehicles, Leopard 2A4 tanks, RBS-70NG missile systems, and advanced communication solutions like STARKOM and DPET. The Ministry’s exhibition, themed “Strength in Unity”, reflects the synergy between the military, industry, academia, and society.
World Premiere: Pandur 8×8 EVO by Tatra Defence Vehicle
One of the most anticipated highlights is the world premiere of the Pandur 8×8 EVO, a new generation of the proven armoured vehicle platform, now upgraded with enhanced protection, superior mobility, and modular design for diverse mission requirements. The platform was developed in collaboration with GDELS-Steyr and is tailored for both domestic and export markets.

CZ BREN 3: Česká zbrojovka introduces the third generation of its globally deployed assault rifles, built for harsh environments and NATO-certified.

Enforcer-X Missile: A shoulder-launched guided missile from MBDA, presented by GLOMEX Military Supplies.

Hornet UGV and MTS UAV: LPP will unveil an autonomous unmanned ground vehicle and a next-gen GPS-independent UAV tested in real combat.

International Defence Powerhouses
Renowned global companies such as RHEINMETALL, LOCKHEED MARTIN, ELBIT SYSTEMS, IAI, HONEYWELL, KNDS, and PATRIA will exhibit at IDET. Notably, Germany’s Rheinmetall will occupy a significant space with 380 sqm of exhibition area.
Technological Themes: Space, AI, and 3D Printing
The 2025 edition introduces a new Space Defense & Start-Up Zone, a collaborative platform for emerging tech companies and established players, featuring the “Defending Europe Together” conference (May 28–29). The 3D-ARMY Conference (May 29) will explore additive manufacturing’s role in defence, featuring experts from Israel, Germany, Austria, Spain, and the Czech Republic.
Live Demonstrations and National Security Forces
IDET Arena will once again provide thrilling live demonstrations by the Czech Army, Police, Fire Rescue Services, and other agencies. A special UAV manufacturing demo will be conducted live on-site by the University of Defence and 3DFENSE.
Extended Experience with PYROS and ISET
Running alongside IDET, PYROS and ISET offer a closer look at safety and firefighting technologies, including a family-focused Safety Day on May 31. International companies and Czech names like Denios, Dräger Safety, Hörmann, and THT Polička will also be present.
