Eve Air Mobility (NYSE: EVEX; EVEXW), a subsidiary of Embraer focused on advancing the urban air mobility (UAM) ecosystem, has announced the approval of a non-repayable grant of up to $15.8 million from FINEP (Brazil’s Funding Authority for Studies and Projects). The total investment in the project, which includes Eve’s own contribution, amounts to up to $33.8 million.

This marks the first grant of its kind awarded to Eve and reflects the company’s leadership in sustainable and innovative air mobility technologies. The funding was granted under FINEP’s public call for “Technologies for More Sustainable Aviation,” which supports development in areas such as autonomous flight, hybrid and hydrogen propulsion, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) testing, noise reduction, new aircraft configurations, advanced materials, and next-generation air traffic management systems.

“This partnership with FINEP represents a pivotal milestone for Eve and the broader Brazilian aerospace ecosystem,” said Johann Bordais, CEO of Eve Air Mobility. “With this grant, we can further accelerate the development of digital solutions that will shape the future of safe and sustainable urban air mobility.”

A key focus of the project is the continued development of Eve TechCare, a fully integrated aftermarket support platform for eVTOL operations. Eve TechCare offers a comprehensive suite of services including MRO support, parts and battery solutions, training programs, and flight operations tools — all designed to ensure high performance, safety, and operational readiness from day one.

According to Elias Ramos de Souza, President of FINEP:

“We believe eVTOLs are a transformative force in urban mobility, and we are proud to support Eve in this strategic endeavor. This initiative builds on our long-standing partnership with Embraer and its subsidiaries, with over BRL 1 billion in funding already committed.”

Eve is currently conducting extensive testing with its prototype eVTOL aircraft to validate flight performance, safety, and system capabilities.
