Inauguration at Aerocity and a Strategic Cooperation Agreement set a bigger canvas for commercial, defense, business aviation, services & support, and UAM.
Embraer inaugurated its fully owned India subsidiary’s new office at WorldMark 4, Aerocity, New Delhi, marking a decisive expansion of its two-decade presence. The ceremony was attended by Brazil’s Vice President Geraldo Alckmin, Minister of Defense Jose Mucio, India’s Minister of Civil Aviation Shri Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, and Brazil’s Ambassador to India Kenneth Felix Haczynski da Nobrega.
The office becomes Embraer’s central hub in India, scaling corporate, procurement, supply chain and engineering capabilities, and aligning with Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India.

Embraer’s India story began in 2005 with E-Jets opening new regional routes. Today, nearly 50 Embraer aircraft across 11 types serve the Indian Air Force, other government agencies, business jet operators, and Star Air.
“The opening of our New Delhi corporate office marks a bold new chapter for Embraer in India – a market central to our global vision… to support India’s aerospace growth, advance self-reliance, and help realize its ambition of becoming a global aviation hub,” said Francisco Gomes Neto, President & CEO, Embraer.
In parallel, Embraer Defense & Security and Mahindra Group signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement to advance the C-390 Millennium for the Indian Air Force’s MTA program, widening cooperation to joint marketing, industrialization and developing India as a hub for manufacturing, assembly, supply chain and MRO.
“Our ambition for growth in India is clear… the C-390 Millennium is perfectly suited to bring additional capabilities to the Indian Air Force,” said Bosco da Costa Junior, President & CEO, Embraer Defense & Security.
Vinod Sahay, Mahindra Group, added: “The C-390 Millennium is unmatched in capability, efficiency, and versatility… and supports the ‘Make in India’ philosophy and further self-reliance.”
The C-390 Millennium carries 26 tons, flies at 470 knots, operates from temporary or unpaved runways, and achieves a >99% mission completion rate across missions ranging from cargo/troop transport and airdrop to medevac, SAR, firefighting, humanitarian operations, and air-to-air refueling.
Embraer’s activities in India also span UAM via Eve Air Mobility partnerships—working with JetSetGo on Urban Air Traffic Management software Vector, and with Hunch Mobility on eVTOL commuter studies in Bangalore.
