At Wings India 2026 in Hyderabad, Embraer will present two of its commercial aircraft — the E195-E2 and the E175 — highlighting solutions aimed at supporting regional connectivity and sustainable growth in India’s rapidly expanding aviation market.

The event, opening on 28 January, marks Embraer’s significant engagement with India as demand accelerates for right-sized aircraft capable of serving secondary and tertiary cities. According to Embraer, the Indian market is expected to require at least 500 aircraft in the 80- to 146-seat segment over the next two decades.

The E195-E2, on static display, represents the latest generation of Embraer’s E-Jet family. The aircraft is designed to deliver improved fuel efficiency, reduced noise, and lower emissions, achieving a reported 29% reduction in fuel burn and carbon emissions per seat compared to first-generation E-Jets. Typical single-class configurations seat between 132 and 146 passengers, positioning the aircraft in the sub-150-seat category.

The E2 family is certified to operate with blends of up to 50% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), with engines already demonstrated to be operable on 100% SAF. Embraer positions this capability as part of its broader strategy to support emissions reduction and long-term sustainability.

Alongside the E195-E2, Embraer is also showcasing the E175, a regional jet with seating for up to 88 passengers. The aircraft is already in service with Indian regional carrier Star Air and is widely used globally, particularly in the United States, where it accounts for a majority share of the regional jet market. Recent updates to avionics, cabin design, and passenger experience align the E175 more closely with the standards introduced on the E2 platform.

Embraer currently has close to 50 aircraft of various types operating in India across government, military, business aviation, and regional airline sectors. Beyond commercial aviation, the company is also offering its C-390 Millennium military transport aircraft to the Indian Air Force under a proposed ‘Make in India’ partnership.

As Aviation Innovation Partner of Wings India 2026, Embraer is presenting its portfolio and services at Booth 9B, Hall B.
