Airbus Helicopters reported a strong increase in orders and deliveries for 2025, underlining the growing momentum in Europe’s defence aviation market. The company recorded 544 gross orders during the year, up from 455 in 2024, while deliveries rose to 392 aircraft, an increase of nearly nine percent.
Military helicopters accounted for approximately 28 percent of total activity, marking one of the highest defence shares in the division’s recent history. Growth was driven primarily by European government demand, with multi-year procurement programs in countries such as Spain, France, and Germany contributing to backlog expansion.
The results strengthen Airbus Helicopters’ position as a key beneficiary of higher European defence budgets. Unlike fixed-wing military aviation, rotary-wing platforms are seeing faster procurement cycles and fewer political constraints, allowing manufacturers to convert orders into cash flow more efficiently.
While supply-chain constraints remain an industry-wide concern, Airbus Helicopters’ diversified customer base and long-term contracts provide a degree of earnings visibility that many aerospace peers currently lack.
