Pioneering Maritime Patrol Potential
Lieutenant-Brigadier Marcelo Kanitz Damasceno, Commander of the Brazilian Air Force, highlighted the importance of this initiative:
“The structured evolution of the C-390 Millennium for ISR missions is a testament to the aircraft’s adaptability. This collaboration ensures the platform aligns with the Brazilian Air Force’s present and future needs, particularly for Maritime Patrol.”

The studies aim to explore the full potential of the C-390 Millennium as a comprehensive ISR solution, further enhancing its reputation as an adaptable, future-ready platform.

Strengthening Long-Term Partnerships
Bosco da Costa Junior, President and CEO of Embraer Defense & Security, emphasized the strategic nature of the collaboration:
“We are honored to advance these studies with the FAB. This initiative reinforces our commitment to delivering an aircraft capable of tackling the most challenging missions with exceptional efficiency. It also represents a deepening of the strong relationship we have built with the FAB over decades.”

Setting a New Standard in Multi-Mission Capability
Already considered the most advanced airlifter in its class, the C-390 Millennium has earned the trust of air forces worldwide, including those of Hungary, Austria, South Korea, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Portugal, and Sweden. Its versatile design and cutting-edge technology continue to set benchmarks in the global defense sector.

With a maximum payload of 26 tons, a top speed of 470 knots, and the ability to operate from unpaved runways, the C-390 Millennium is engineered for the toughest missions. Its reliability is unparalleled, with over 15,000 flight hours logged and a mission capability rate of 93%. Operators consistently report mission completion rates exceeding 99%, further cementing the aircraft’s reputation for excellence.

Engineering Expertise at the Core
This new initiative showcases Embraer’s prowess in systems integration and engineering. By pushing the boundaries of what the C-390 Millennium can achieve, the company reaffirms its role as a global leader in aerospace innovation.
