Eldis Pardubice, a leading Czech manufacturer of active radar systems and a member of CSG Aerospace, has secured a major contract with Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic (ŘLP ČR). Under the €10.5 million agreement (CZK 258 million), the company will deliver new combined primary and secondary surveillance radars to two key sites – Písek in the Brdy mountains and Buchtův kopec in the Vysočina region. The delivery includes protective radomes as well as 15 years of post-warranty service.
The project will run between 2025 and 2029. Both RL-2000/MSSR-1 radars will provide secondary coverage for cooperative targets and primary coverage for detecting non-cooperative targets. The solution will also include secondary surveillance radars compliant with the latest EUROCONTROL EMS 4.0 (European Mode S Station, version 4.0) standard.
“Securing a reference contract from a domestic customer is a strong recognition of our quality. Upon completion, our radars will cover the entire Czech airspace for both civil and military infrastructure,” said Vladimír Vojáček, CEO of Eldis Pardubice.
Once the installation is finalized in 2029, Eldis – with the exception of the radar serving Prague TMA – will be the sole supplier of radars to all major civil (PISEK, BUKOP, Brno, Ostrava) and military air infrastructure sites (Kbely, Pardubice, Čáslav, Náměšť nad Oslavou). Eldis radars will thus ensure full coverage of Czech airspace.
