CS Soft, in partnership with aircraft maintenance company Job Air Technic, has developed JATISmro, a system that significantly enhances processes in commercial aircraft maintenance and repair. Utilizing AI and machine learning models based on historical data, JATISmro can predict required maintenance actions, allocate resources, and improve overall efficiency for aircraft upkeep. Already in use at Job Air Technic, the system is now being offered to additional clients.
This innovation resulted from the synergy between CS Soft, known for developing air traffic management software, and Job Air Technic, one of Europe’s largest aircraft maintenance providers. “Developed in close collaboration with Job Air Technic over three years, JATISmro has shown, based on preliminary data, that it can increase maintenance efficiency by up to 10%, potentially generating significant savings,” noted Lukáš Hefka, Head of AI at CS Soft. “Our model continues to improve through machine learning, as real-time data is fed into it weekly.”
JATISmro is built as an extension of the Quantum ERP system widely used in aircraft repair facilities. Leveraging seven years of service history, it can predict maintenance timelines based on aircraft type, age, and operating environment. The system uses advanced AI algorithms to establish maintenance sequences, factoring in aircraft configuration, project status, part availability, and necessary tools, ensuring efficient resource allocation to minimize downtime.
“Our goal was to streamline planning, which was previously partially manual in Quantum using Excel sheets,” explained Hefka. “JATISmro not only forecasts the maintenance scope but also optimizes it, increasing revenue and reducing project costs and completion time.”
The benefits of JATISmro extend to both maintenance facilities and customers by reducing idle time, shortening maintenance durations, and enabling more projects within a single facility. With JATISmro, clients gain better project visibility, allowing them to return aircraft to revenue-generating operations sooner.
With JATISmro now fully tested and operational, CS Soft and Job Air Technic are ready to offer it to other aircraft maintenance providers, deploying it as a cloud solution compatible with various ERP systems. “Our collaboration has opened a market opportunity, allowing us to provide JATISmro to a broader range of customers,” said Tomáš Richtr, Managing Director of CS Soft.
